The Celebrate Art! Celebrate Coffee! festival is presented each fall by the Willmar Area Arts Council. This year's festival is September 19 and is located in downtown Willmar. The tradition continues with artist demonstrations, children's tent activities, a juried art exhibition and art sale, food court, free coffee, and continuous entertainment from the outdoor stage.

2009 Poster Unveiling Thursday, August 6

The featured art for the 2009 “Celebrate Art! Celebrate Coffee!” poster will be unveiled at the Barn Theatre, 321 4th Street SW, Willmar on Thursday, August 6, at 11:30am at a public reception honoring Dona Larkin, a well-known Renville artist.  She has created the original painting that will be one of the coveted raffle prizes for 2009.  Julia Iverson, Robert Mattson, and Kim Wendlandt, from the New London area are providing additional raffle prizes and their works of art will also be unveiled at the event.  The four art works will be on display at the Barn Theatre in August and in the Cash Wise entrance kiosk in September.   

Beginning August 6 raffle tickets, $2 each, may be purchased from Willmar Area Arts Council board members, Our Frame Shop and Gallery in Willmar, or at the WAAC office at the Willmar Education and Arts Center, 611 SW 5th Street.  They will be available at the Willmar Area Arts Council Booth and the Information Booth on festival day.
