Artist
The poster artist this year is Dona Larkin,  a well-known artist from Renville who specializes in commission work. Her work documents people, places, and buildings of historical and emotional significance to her clients.
Dona’s artwork featured on the Celebrate Art! Celebrate Coffee! Poster this year is an acrylic painting with a textured border. It’s a beautiful summer lake scene in Minnesota.
Additional raffle prizes include an illusionary watercolor entitled “Still Life in my Studio” by Julia Iverson, a cool display of framed fishing flies by Robert Mattson; and a very unique purse made from the board game Monooply by Kim Wendlandt. Julia, Robert and Kim are from New London.
The art works will be on display at the Barn Theatre in August and at the Cash Wise entrance kiosk in September. On the day of the festival they are on display at the Information Booth.
Prior to the festival raffle tickets may be purchased for $2 each at Our Frame Shop and Gallery in Willmar, or in New London at Bead Jam, the Pottery Workshop, or the Flying Goose Quilt Shoppe. They are also available from Willmar Area Arts Council board members, the WAAC office at the Willmar Education and Arts Center, 611 SW 5th Street, at the Information Booth and the Arts Council table on Festival Day.
The drawing will take place on the Java Jam stage at 3:45. You need not be present to win.
