First
Baptist Church has been
involved in helping build and support a sister church in Drabiv, Ukraine. Condidtions are not good there and religion,
though accepted is not practiced by many. We have found
the children, teens and adult church members are eager to be with us "American christians"
and have seen many develop a purpose in life that only Christ
can give. Even some of our translators have become christians
and continue to help us during our time there.
This last year we were able to help their church body
purchase a building in the downtown area for use as a church.
This year we will be able to use that facility instead of the city Cultural Center we have used in past years.
